Ascent Capture Custom Modules
Twinstar
Image Import for Ascent Capture:
Twinstar
Image Import (TII) for Ascent Capture works as an import module
for the Ascent Capture process. It is designed to import electronic files (electronic
faxes, word documents, spreadsheets, audio/video files, as well
as many other types of eDocuments) from a system directory into
the Ascent Capture process. TII for AC eliminates user interaction
until the Validation phase of capture by polling the sytem directory/directories
on a user defined time interval. TII for AC will release into any
AC supported back-end environment. TII for AC has been widely implemented
in the public and private sector and has successfully automated
processing of backlog scanning, electronic fax processing and eDocument
processing for our customers. TII for AC can be changed on a case
by case basis according to user requirements. Trial versions of
the software are also available on a case by case basis.

Crop and Compare:
Image
Crop and Compare allows users to crop out a portion of an image,
such as a signature or date (based on a pre-configured recognition
zone) and compare that cropped portion of the document to an existing
history image within a file system and indicate if the current image
matches the historical image. The cropped image can then be stored
into the file system. The comparison feature can also be disabled,
and allow a user to crop a portion of an image and save it to a
file system. Twinstar will consider modifications to the software
on a case by case basis to match user requirements.
Enterprise Deployments
Enterprise Content Management and Customized Workflow
Twinstar recently deployed enterprise content management with customized workflow for a large state agency. The project deployed Ascent Capture to scan, CM iSeries as an image repository and leveraged as well as customized the CM iSeries workflow process to allow complex workflow operations such as retrieving modifying and re-saving MS Word documents that have been stored in CM iSeries.
Ascent Capture For Invoices
Twinstar recently deployed Ascent Capture for Invoices for a local power company releasing to the Documentum back-end; 65% of all invoice data is now accurately automatically captured from invoices instead of entered by a clerk.
Case Studies: Solutions in Action
Integration of Signature Pad to Aid Order Processing
Twinstar recently integrated a signature pad with CM OnDemand for iSeries and CM for iSeries to leverage and integrate a content management system with an existing order processing system. With the new order system, customers of our client come into the shop to pick up an item and are able to view order information from IBM OnDemand on a Topaz Signature Pad. They then sign to confirm pickup at which time our integration application attaches the signature to the order then imports itinto IBM Content Manager as a .tif file. The full order with signature can then be retrieved and/or printed.
Email Auto-Import of Files into Content Manager for Multiplatforms
One of our government clients had a need to receive fingerprint files in a proprietary format from external sources to an email account and then have those files imported into IBM CM for Multiplatforms. Our integration program, written in C# reads incoming email from an account, isolates the fingerprint attachment, extract the index information from the proprietary file format and imports the image and metadata into CM. This process is open and can be applied to any image type.
